About

The Journal de la société des américanistes is a scientific journal dedicated to Indigenous and Creole cultures of the Americas. It is interdisciplinary, publishing works in ethnology, linguistics, history, archaeology and sociology. The editors chose revues.org to post online all issues published since 2000, while continuing to produce a printed edition. Issues are available in their entirety upon publication, but article facsimiles are reserved for subscribers of the Freemium programme. All earlier issues (from 1895 to 2000) are freely accessible in their entirety on Persée. The journal is also fully available on Jstor, with a three-year moving wall.
